Events for Trainees
Program Leaders: Ather Ali, ND, MPH Samantha Simmons, MPH Rita Benn, PhD
The 2012 International Research Congress on Integrative Medicine and Health is excited to provide dedicated programming for students, trainees, and early-career researchers. This includes students (graduate and undergraduate) at conventional or CAM schools, residents, fellows, K-awardees and junior faculty within five years of their initial appointment. Others are welcome to attend, but the former will receive priority.
The following events are designed to facilitate networking among new investigators as well as to provide insights and mentorship from senior and established researchers. Attendees registering for New Investigator Programs will have ‘New Investigator’ noted on their name badge for easy identification and to help facilitate networking.
Wednesday, May 1612:00 PM - 1:30 PM New Investigator Lunch Session New investigators will be paired with senior academic researcher table moderators that have similar interests or career paths. This is a way for new investigators to learn directly from senior and established researchers in CAM/Integrative Medicine. There is no cost to attend this lunch if you are registered as a New Investigator.
6:30 PM Networking Dinner Join your fellow new investigators for a relaxing dinner with good conversation. This dinner is informal and at your own expense at a local restaurant. Some senior academic researchers from the Wednesday lunch may attend.
Additional Conference Activities of Possible Interest to New Investigators:
Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 1812:00 PM - 1:30 PM NCCAM Resource Sessions with Box Lunch Details Available Soon. Separate Registration Required. |
